The definition of marriage

The Merriam Webster Dictionary defines marriage as…

Marriage.  Noun Merriam Webster Definition

Definition of marriage

1a : the state of being united as spouses in a consensual and contractual relationship recognized by law

b : the mutual relation of married persons : wedlock

c : the institution whereby individuals are joined in a marriage

2 : an act of marrying or the rite by which the married status is effected especially : the wedding ceremony and attendant festivities or formalities

3 : an intimate or close union the marriage of painting and poetry— J. T. Shawcross

While this is a very great catch all definition, the section that stands out to me is.

3 : an intimate or close union the marriage of painting and poetry— J. T. Shawcross

I believe this.  What is marriage other than beauty, poetry and a great work of art.

Any greatness must be achieved through perseverance, joy, talent and compromise.  Marriage will only work as long as both parties desire the fulfillment, the continued growth and understanding that is involved with the union and functionality of effort.

Having trust in one another, being friends, being happy to be together.  These are important.  But knowing one another, discussing, embracing each others being;  this helps a marriage succeed

So dance the dance of love, create the painting of a future and harmonize a wonderful opera together.
